A connection that i have in this book is when my friend that plays for tilton academy it was the chapion ship and he went for a ley up and shwed off and he had miss the shot.
A text-to-text connection with the story “The Streak” is that there was a movie about luck and she was just like Jamie her luck wasn’t good everything was going wrong for her just like Jamie. I forgot what the movie was. Her luck was like, there was no rain out side and a car drove past her and had soaked her like there was water on the side of the street. That’s my connection. I really don’t know what I am talking about.

The book by Fantasia Barrino is called " Life is not a fairytale " in the book fantasia has all thees bad things happen to her. She goes through abuse with her boyfriend, Lives in the projects, can't aford thing to take care of her baby, drops out of high school in the ninth grade. Then she goes to american idol because her family encourages her to, becuase they believe she has a gift. Fantasia makes it to the finally 12 in the competetion then she makes it to the top 2 and whens the competetion. The main character in the book goes through similar situations.
my text to text is when the Magic's versing the Cavs. Magic's where leading 97 to 96. THE player from the Cavs named Mo willimas in bound the ball to King James and king James made the Game wining shot over Makeil peitrous and Hedo turkoluge. Cavs won the game 99 to 97. That was my text to text.
I was watching this show “That’s so Raven” and on the show the girls had to ask the guys to prom. Just like in the book with Jamie and Celia or vice versa. Raven ended up meeting this wonderful called Ben Sturkey and he was stinky but he had a good personality. So she asked him out and they went. Just like in the story “The streak”.
I can relate this chapter to the show the luck of the Irish. It is about a boy who is Irish and he is on the basketball game. He lost one game and then won the rest.
I can make a text to text because I was on a football team and my first year I was kind of whack then I upgraded then the following year that summer that up I played again and I was besting making touchdowns and kick returns I was just on a besting streak. But that’s the only connection I can make.

In a television show, there is a boy who keeps fighting no matter what. He has bad luck and good luck. In fights he gets really beat up but he sometimes he just gets a rush of energy and keeps fighting. In other fights he doesn’t get this rush in a while. It happens to him when he really needs it. But when he is in trouble in a fight it just comes by it self. This is my text-to-text connection.
This book in terms of luck I can compare to Dente's divine comedy when Dente and Virgil tevel through the 9 circles of hell and creates a poem in hells form basicly making a internal map. The reason for this is the they where guided in some of the circles by one of its inhabitants.
A streak that I had was, taking my sister to school. I came back home, knoked my feet on the stairs, and it was hurting like crazy. The pain was feeling a little better, and I wanted to eat breakfast, I was running late for school, so my mother gave me a breakfast bar. I left my bar at home, I forgot my money at home, when I wanted to get some thing from the store after I came back home from school. It was a bad day for me, I will never forget that day.
One day I was with some of my friends and we were going to one of the hidden skate parks that only a few people know about. We were skating and then I tried to do a hard flip and I landed it. When I went to go show my friends I couldn’t do it and I almost twisted my ankle. Just like Jamey when he missed the game winning shot.
A text-to-text connection that I have with “The Streak” is Kitty and Mack: A love story because their were two guys that like this girl and is trying to chase them because they are so fine.
The story “The Streak” and the story “Kitty and Mack: A Love Story” have a connection. In the story “The Streak” the main character Jaime Farrel was in love with a girl named Celia Evora. Also the story “The Streak” has a connection to the story “Kitty and Mack: A Love Story” because in this story Mack played a sport and so did Jaime in the story “The Streak”. Another connection between these 2 stories is that both of the boys in this book both boy characters Jaime and Mack got hurt in their legs.
this reminds me of a story that i read where the guy always seemed to have bad luck with everything until one day he kissed this girl who was always lucky and their luck seemed to switch everything he did got luck but she always got bad luck she went from being rich to poor and he went from poor to rich instantly!
I seen a movie once that reminded me of events in this story. In the movie a boy likes a girl but he was shy to tell her and gets nervous around her. He wanted to ask her out but the words wouldn’t come out. In the book Jamie was shy to ask Celia just as in the movie.
From reading the book the Streak I can make a text to text from this movie I was watching a movie. And this guy he loves playing basketball. And every time he wears his chain he makes sure he kisses it that’s what starts his luck up. and he gets his average points and does good in every game he plays. Then when I read the book this boy named Jamie he played basketball also and be for he plays there was one speachel thing that was making Jamie do so well. From reading the Book The Streak I can make a text-to-text from this movie I was watching it was called “Like Mike” and bow wow was in it and all his life he always wanted to play basketball so one day he woke up o a late night and saw these sneakers on a wire then he hung form the window trying to grab them and when he tried to pull the strings the sneakers got electrocuted so did the sneakers then that’s how his streak started up because the lucky sneakers had something to do with it. They was air forces and every time he had his game before he would start playing he would bend down tie his sneakers and touched them and say “Make me like Mike”. Then wants he started playing he was making every 3-point dunking at a small height and crossing people crazy. Then there was a time when he played I good team and then he went to his locker room to go put on his lucky sneakers and couldn’t find them. So at that point he new he was done so when game time came he had on normal Jordan’s. Once he started playing he was messing up and doing terrabul.because with out those sneakers they ant know like mike. Then when I go back to reading the streak that’s the same thing that happen to Jamie but when he went for the lay up he missed and that’s when he started his bad luck. Then as he was at home something happen to him so when he had his last game he felt a serten way and started doing better then that’s when his good luck streak started to build up agene.
