  1. The low temperatures were dangerous for those who went outside. The temperature was -40 below. Schools were getting canceled and people were being able to stay home because it was so cold, but staying home was cold too though. People were complaining and canceling trips because of the cold weather. People were getting sick and even getting close to dying because it was so cold. Jobs were also getting cancelled because the roads were slippery and it was giving the workers a hard time to get to work.
Due to the horrible weather, it messed up a lot of peoples plans. Also people were thinking about migrating to another state to cool down. People get really sick when their bodies are use to hot weather, but then all they get is cold weather. So they get really sick. Also for parents, they had to think about their children because their children get sick very easily because they are fragile, they had to make quick moves before it got even colder. Also they had to prepare themselves, for snow and other horrible weather conditions.

  2. The low temperatures were dangerous for those who went outside. Before I knew that I went outside to go to the convenient store. I was only wearing jeans and sneakers with ankle socks a tank top undershirt with a thick hoodie. When I got outside it was frigid and I was slipping all over the ice and fell on my back and bumped my head on the ice and then I passed out in the middle of the cold sidewalk. I thought no one would even find me since barely anyone is outside and I also felt great pain in my ankle.
When I woke up I was in a hospital bed with my older sister beside me. I ask her how’d I get in the hospital and she said mom came looking for me after an hour. When I tried to get out of bed my ankle was hurting like it was broken. Then a few minutes later the doctor came in saying I sprain my ankle because I was poorly dressed for the frigid weather. I thought that if I wore something warmer like a coat and boots with a scarf and a hat this wouldn’t of happened.

  3. The low temperatures were dangerous for those who went outside. Temperatures to fall well below there winter averages. As far south as West Virginia, temperatures dipped below zero. Some places reached a low of 42 degrees below zero. It was dangerous for those who went outside. Even indoors, some people were not safe. Why not? In many places, water pipes froze and threatened to burst. In West Virginia, a frozen water pipe forced about 35 senior citizens to leave their care center.
They took shelter at a church. In Chicago, there were over 1,000 reports of frozen pipes. People who went outside had to deal with slippery roads. Their car locks were frozen. Other drivers had dead batteries. Bitter cold forced leaders to close many schools. The river began to freeze. In Chicago, the airport had to ground more than 140 flights.

  4. The low temperatures were dangeous for those who went outside. It was dangeous because the snowed slow down vehicles and cause traffic jams. It also cause the vehicles to crash and it was reported that there were 290 crashes during rush hour. The cold also caused all of the schools to close. It wasn't safe inside either because the pipes were forzen inside and could burst any minute.
The cold snap was cause for concern. 10,000 motorists called for assistance because it was hard for them to travel. Bill Pahl also said that a lot of kids walk to school and said that it wasn't worth the risk, so he closed down schools. Also, some people has said it is safer indoors because of the snow and some people that it's safer outdoors because the pipes were frozen and they could burst at any minute. People also had to worry to get to their job, because the snow slowed down their vehicles down.

  5. While on my way to school I fell on a big pool of ice. Trying to get up I noticed that the ice was oh not clear but blue. As soon as i got up i went back home. It was freezing and the heat was off for the next ten minutes. Looking outside the window was impossible.

The low temperatures were dangerous for those who went outside. My neighbor’s dog ran out the door and froze up. So sad, I looked mysteriously at the spot where I fell and noticed that it was still blue. I wanted to go outside but if I want to end up like scootlies then I might as well stay in the house. So there it was and here I am wait what was…

  6. The low temperatures were dangerous for those who went outside. The temperature were dropping slowly as it traveled and it temperature was so bad that they had to cancel schools. Minnesota and Embarrass had a temperature of 42 degrees below zero. The temperature was so bad that it was dangerous to stay outdoors and stay indoors. Many people were forced to get out their homes because of a pipe that burst. At a senior citizen complex 35 residents had to seek a shelter at a local church because a frozen water pipe.

When people get cold they use a blanket but the weather they are having now I don’t think a blanket will do. People have moved to and other warm area for the time being. In New York City there was heavy snow. The cold wind created squalls that had 3-4 feet of snow. People who drove cars or walked in the snow had t deal with slippery roads and reduce visibility.

I finnaly get into the house I slip out of my warm cloth beacsue of the hot tempeture in the room. I look around to see if any ones home and I yell “ is there any one here “ no response. After that I go into the kitchen because I was hungry and open up the fridgerator and there is a note with food on it from my mom and it said ”went out for a few be back later”, so I pick up the plate of food and put it in the microwave for 5minutes I walk away from it for a minute. I go and out side and the whole block is covered in white snow and pretty white snow flakes falling from the sky and just builds up on the white plain of snow. I go back to the microwave and the food is off I wonder why so I just turn the microwave back on but it wont come so I go and see if the cord is pulled out and its not , it turns out the power is out because of the snow storm. I go and lay on my bed and look up at the ceiling wondering when the snow is going stop, then my doorbell rings like who could the be it turns out to be my nephew on his bus I pick him up and take him up stairs because he’s tired I lay him down on his bed go back to my room and take a nap.
1 Hours later I wake up and I see that my nephew is playing with his toys in my room making a whole lot of noise I ask him what is he doing he responds “nothing uncle” and I turn to the window look outside and its still snowing. I fall back to sleep for about another 10 minutes. The temperatures were so bad that the beach was now ice and the grass on the football field was now frozen. The temperatures set a record for the coldest day it was -15 degrees. Another bad thing was that the power went out.

Due to the blizzard and the bad temperatures many traveling trips were canceled. And for all of the planes that had taken off already only the futer will tell what will happen. But for the people who had to stay in the airport for another airplane and for the weather to comedown.

  10. The low temperatures were dangerous for those who went outside because they could freeze to death. It would be hard for them to see in the snow and they wound be able to keep warm. It would be imposable for you to stay out of more than half hour. Their toes and hands would turn black form the ice burn. That’s why the low temperature would be dangerous.
If we you was in a low temperature in a car you how gas and oil would freeze. The car could not be able to move. I would have to come out of the car and walk. I might freeze. That’s why it bad.

  11. The cold snap was cause for concern. I just woke up and I had three blankets on my bed but I was still freezing. I turned on the heat in my room but it wasn’t coming up. After a hour I wet and got the space heater from the corner and it only worked for a little while. The floor was cold like popsicles on a summer day. I used to say I hate summer because it’s so hot but I was in for a rude awakening on this cold winter day.

It’s now seven thirty and I’m ready to go to school. After I get dressed I asked my mom if she could drive me she said she was to tired and I could see she already had her space heater on. So I said mommy why can’t you drive me I am oh so cold. She said I am tired once more so I kissed her good bye and headed to the door. When I opened the door the cold wind threw me back inside the house so I shut the door and ran into my room. I cuddled in my bed and went back to sleep wondering what my mom would think when she seen I stayed home.

The cold snap was cause for concern. I couldn’t go outside. I couldn’t play tennis. I was such a big storm. I had to go outside any way to shovel the snow away from the driveway. Then I had to go to the store.

The cold was so intense. My face was num with cold. My toes were frozen. This was like frozen Hades. When I returned to my house the heat burned my face. It’s was nice to be home.

  13. In Chicago, meanwhile, heavy snow forced airport officials to cancel more than 140 flights. People were becoming very angry and upset. They had places to go and people to see. It was even worst because it was during holiday seasoning so all planes started to go down the drain. In the airport people started going mad because they were snowed in. The low temperatures were dangerous even for the people in inside. The only good thing about being inside of the airport was that they supplied food, shelter and pillows and blanks.

  14. It's 3:30 in the afternoon and still freezing. The low temperature would be dangerous for those who went out side. The reaosn why it would be dangerous for those who went outside is because many people it"s so cold you would probley freeze to death. Another reason why it would be to dangerous for uou to go outside is because even with a hat, scarf, coat, and gloves you will still be freezing old. Since it was so cold many peple tryed to drive. If you had some where to go i sujust you to just drive or do not go at all. The people who tryed to wait for the bus ended up in the hospital. The ended up in the hospital because of the temperture outside. That"s why it was dangerouse for the people who went outside.
