The main idea of the story is everyone's experiences on 145th street and how they say it wheather it is good or bad. Everybody one 145th street to me is used to seeing people getting arrested, shot, stabbed or beat. In Dorchester some things happen like that but I don't think that it is as worste as the things that happen on 145th street. I have never seen someone get shot or stabbed but I have seen someone get beat up and jumped and it was not pleasent. I can't imagine someone dying. My point is that the book's experiences are different than mines, they have their veiw I have mines.
ReplyDeleteThe main idea of the story was how a women names Mary came home from work and the police thought that her dog was a terrorist so they shot him and when they went up stairs to her house they found that it was her dog and he was dead. I say this was the main idea of the story because the title of the story was “Baddest Dog in Harlem”.

ReplyDeleteThe main idea of this short story is about the police searching for a man that has an automatic weapon. An automatic weapon is a gun or pistol that can shoot many bullets at one time. The main idea was also the title of the story The Baddest Dog in Harlem. I think this was the main idea because the shooting all started over an automatic weapon and the Baddest Dog in Harlem was killed for the assumptions of the police.
ReplyDeleteThe main idea of this story was expect the unexpected. If you’re day is going good, you never know what can happen. For example, they were all just chilling in front of the store. All of a sudden, cops pull up and ask questions. This happened in the past story too. Later that day, a shooting occurs. No one shoots but the cops. They shoot into Mary’s house and shoot up her drapes. She comes home and is upset. When they go into her house, she later finds out that her dog is dead. Mary never knew her dog would die, I infer that he was good and healthy dog. She NEVER expected that. After that, they enter house and find a young boy shot up too. He isn’t breathing, and no one knows who he is. This to me is upsetting. This story to me was just unexpected because you would think that this chapter would be about fights and boxing. No, you were wrong. There’s some much more to this title…

ReplyDeleteThe main idea of the story to me is when the cops came by and they were trying to protect the woman Mary. Because she was angry because the cops shot down her drapes and killed her dog. Then the cops said a smart comment back talking about the dog and there was like over thousands of bullets. Then the cop asked can Mary can she take us up steers to see if there’s any body’s laying around and when the cops took a glance there was the Kidd laying on the bed dead.

ReplyDeleteThe main idea is life. It is life because not every thing ends happily. This story ends in a way that life would. Every day someone dies. They die of age or they get killed. In life not every thing ends well. In the story The Baddest Dog in Harlem. A dog dies and a child dies. This is my answer.
The main idea of the story The baddest dog in harlem was that someone had a weapon. the whole tme the cops where shooting at a dog thinking it a guy with a gun.they also shot a kid.

ReplyDeleteThe main idea of this story is that it is going to be about fighting/violents on 145th street is that there is going to be drum between the characters in this book. The characters in this book can come to and conclusion and begun with there arguments. It is also going to be about the character Mary and her house coming to an end.
The main idea of this story is that someone had an immediate weapon. This was the main idea because people got hurt and savior damage was caused. Another reason why I said this was the main idea of the story was because immediate weapons are illegal.

ReplyDeleteThe main idea of the story “The Baddest Dog In Harlem” was that you could lose your life by minding other peoples business. When everybody gathering around to see what were happening three people was shot. Willie was shot in the head and Mary’s dog was killed. A little boy was also killed in his apartment by trying to figure out what was going on outside. It was a sad day on 145th street but everybody kind of learn a lesson and felt some kind of grief.

The main idea is how there was a lady named Mary she was coming from work, but the police had shout her dog thro the window the police had thought that her dog was a terrorist so they had shot him. Then the police had gone up to Mary’s apartment to see if the bad guy was dear but all that they had found was a dead dog. Mary’s was really said because she loved her dog a lot, she was mad because one of the cops made a smart comment about her dead dog. Then they went to someone else apartment and they found a little boy died on the bed and that’s why the called this story the “Baddest Dog In Harlem”

ReplyDeleteThe main idea of the story is to tell you how important life is, and how much life means to people. In the story it is just a regular day in Harlem where everybody is living and everybody is just relaxing. Until they hear a big squeal from a cop car and cops start to look for a suspect. Everyone is scared and crying and they have little children who think they are used to this stuff, giving people heads up about where the cops are. Then There are people running scared shooting things carelessly and trying to jump to conclusions just so they can take control of an automatic weapon. Then it turns out that the people who were trying to stay in their homes away from all of it are the ones who are in more danger of getting hurt. A child lost his life while he was at home just being a child sitting on the bed watching cartoons looking out the window of his own home and gets shot by a stray bullet. Then a poor home pet gets shot just looking out the window like all dogs do and also trying to see where all the noise is coming from and also gets shot, they don’t know if anyone saw him looking out the window and thought it was a human or if it was a stray bullet. The story is about that to me because it is sad how fast your life can get taken away from you without even expecting it.
The main idea of the story is death and violence I say that because through out the story all you could talk about was fighting or an automatic weapon. Like in the beginning of the story everyone that was mentioned was talking about boxing. Then when the police came they told everyone to get on the floor. Then some people in the building next to them stared shooting. When they went up to see if anyone survived but what they found was three bodies and a dog. Then when they went to the door next to them they found an innocent child on the floor. That’s why the main idea of the story is death and violence.
ReplyDeleteThe main idea of the story is don't judge a book by its cover. These dudes were having a conversation about boxing and then the police came. Everybody was curious about what was going on. The police thought that someone was on the roof of a building, but it was really a dog. The police went upstairs with the narrator and they noticed that they shot at a dog instead of a person. Then later, they saw that a kid got shot while watching T.V and every one was sad.

Of the police being in search everything happened people died. A women named Mary, was mad because they messed up. Everything was going wrong.
